Day by day itinerary:

Day 01: Dushanbe

Upon arrival at Dushanbe airport you will be met by our guide transferred to your hotel. We enjoy a city tour of Dushanbe, Included is a visit to Hissor Fort which was rebuilt during the 13th century, the site of two madrassas built in the 18th-19th centuries. Later we return to Dushanbe for a tour of the bazaar and museums.

Day 02: Kalaikum

Today we start our journey towards the Pamir over the mountain pass at Kalaikum, the halfway point of Khorog.

Day 03: Khorog

Drive to Khorog, the capital of (GBAO) Gorno-Badakhshan region, along the Panj River which forms the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

Day 04: Khorog

In the morning, visit Khorog’s bazaar, museum and botanical gardens. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 05: Ishkashim-Qazideh (Afghanistan)

Today we cross to Ishkashim Wakhan valley. After border formalities we cross to Sultan Ishkashim to visit the local market and the local NGO office promoting development in the region. Later we drive to Qazideh where you have a chance to visit the locals. Overnight in Home stay (BLD)

Day 06: Khandood

Traveling from Qazideh up to Khandood, you will follow the south side of both Tajik & Afghan Wakhan valley along the rough road to Khandood. This village divides the Wakhan into two sections, the Lower Wakhan and Upper Wakhan. Here you will need to show your Wakhan permit issued in Ishkashim. Overnight Guest house (BLD)

Day 07: Sargaz

Traveling from Khandood to Sargaz. Along the way you will see many small beautiful Wakhi villages where you have chance to visit their homes and learn about their unique culture.

Day 08: Sarhad-e-Broghail

Traveling form Sargaz up to the Sarhad-e-Broghil. The last village of the Wakhan corridor, in the afternoon enjoy the beautiful scenery or relax by the Hot spring. An optional Buzkashi also can be organized on request as well (B)

Day 09: Sarhad-e-Broghail pass

Enjoy a hike or horse ride up to Broghil pass and admire the beautiful views over Hindu Kush and Pamir Mountains. This pass leads toward Pakistan as well, later return back to Sarhad-e- Broghil.

Day 10: Qala-e-Panja

Today we drive to Qala-e-Panja

Day 11: Ishakashim (Tajikistan)

Return to Sultan Ishkashim. After border formalities, cross to Ishakashim Tajikistan (BLD) Overnight in home stay (B)

Day 12: Ishakashim (Tajikistan)

In the morning, visit Yamchun fortress. Later, drive to Bibi Fotima hot spring. In the afternoon, we return to Khorog.

Day 13-14: Return to Dushanbe

Return journey back to Dushanbe.

Day 15: Onward flight

Transfer to the airport for onward flight (B)

Tour cost and Dates

We guarantee all tour departures for a minimum of 2 passengers. In order to confirm your booking we will need a non-refundable deposit of 400 USD per person. The final invoice will be sent to you 4 weeks before the tour departure, the final cost dependent on the final group size.
